04/12/2020: HE PUAPUA - THE BREAK OF THE WAVES - A REPORT ON HOW TO IMPLEMENT AND ACTION THE DECLARATION ON THE RIGHTS OF INDIGENOUS PEOPLES IN AOTEAROA NEW ZEALAND:

This report was completed over a year ago but has been suppressed by government officials. In the end, it took an OIA for this Executive Summary to be released just before the Aotearoa Independent Monitoring Mechanism (AIMM) made its sixth annual report on 1st December 2020 to the UN Expert Mechanism on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (EMRIP) on what government was doing to comply with and action the UNDRIP.

Dr Giles Chanwai (Te Rorohuri Te Whānau Moana) is an Emergency Medical Specialist at Waikato hospital. He is working with the Health Portfolio of Te Rūnanga-ā-Iwi o Ngāti Kahu to survey our iwi members about their Emergency Department (ED) needs.
