Ex-tropical cyclone Cody has brought wind speeds of 20-30kph and gusts of 50-60kph today. This wind has created flare ups on the fire ground and we’re currently experiencing a flare up to the north of the fire ground that is visible from a distance.
This flare up is safely within our control and containment lines. It is an area of the fire we’re allowing to burn to reduce fuel that we had planned to burn in the future.
