As part of the current negotiations with the New Zealand Government to settle the Ngati Kahu historical Treaty of Waitangi grievances, the mandated negotiators of Te Runanga-a-Iwi o Ngati Kahu are seeking to meet with and update all whanau on the progress of negotiations towards settlement.
HE HAKAPA ATU KI A NGATI KAHU KEI WAHI KE, KEI WHENUA KE / NEW ZEALAND AND AUSTRALIA TREATY NEGOTIATIONS UPDATE HUI.
A road show to update Ngati Kahu whanau living away from Te Hiku o te Ika (home) is being planned. The intention is to travel to the main centres of Aotearoa / New Zealand and Australia to present a Treaty Negotiation update report and Settlement Strategy. The road show travel is scheduled to be held between March and June 2010.
Once the itinerary has been finalised and significant interest in the different cities is confirmed, notices of meetings, time, date and venue will be advertised in newspapers and broadcasted on Maori Radio.
It is essential that whanau attend these upcoming meetings to participate in this very important and vital conversation.
