Tena koe ara koutou katoa,
As part of the development of Te Pou Tarāwaho Mātauranga o Ngāti Kahu (the Ngati Kahu Indigenous Qualification Framework), Te Rūnanga-ā-Iwi o Ngāti Kahu has launched an initiative aimed at lifting the proficiency and numbers of our kai mihimihi and kai karanga.
Te Kura Reo o Ngāti Kahu is a 9 month, 4 level course of learning based upon the teachings of our tūpuna as passed on to us by our rangatira Makari Matiu and others. It is not for beginner level students who will be referred to the separate Ataarangi course that is also being run on the same days at an earlier time.
Contact class time is fortnightly Wednesday evenings from 5.30 – 6.30 pm in the conference room at Te Rūnanga-ā-Iwi o Ngāti Kahu.
The head tutors are Te Ikanui Kingi-Waiaua and Reremoana Renata.
